Try this web site it will tell you if you vehicle can burn ethanol.
Ethanol 85
Most fuels contain about 10% ethanol. The new fuel is 85%. Most older cars. below 2002, are not designed to run on it and it may harm you fuel system mostly through corrosion.
Ethanol is not as powerfull as gasoline therefore you lose fuel economy. Depending on how cheap it is in your part of the country it may not be economically advantagous to switch to Ethanol unless you are doing it for the enviroment.

Dave, I've heard that some people are having problems related to ethanol eating away at their fuel systems. I participate in a Mercedes Forum, too. That's where I've heard this. I haven't tried ethanol myself, so I have no personal experience with it.
I wonder if the mix of gas additives, which varies from place to place might not also be a factor. Anybody else know?
