The car is complete it just needs to be restored (it could be used for a parts car but I'd hate to not see it restored).
It's not a basket case in my opinion though it does have rust. The trunk is the roughest part of this car.
The trunk pan will have to be patched or replaced. It's rusted through in about the size of an eraser head in one spot.
The trunk lid has rust and the springs that raise the trunk lid are pushing it up out of position.
The trunk lid will have to be replaced but you might be able to fix it. The floor pans are rusted but easily restorable.
There is one spot on the drivers side that has a pin hole all the way through.
I think the pans can be patched and not completely replaced. The outside roof has surface rust and peeled paint.
I included a pic of that. There is some rust on the sides of the body but nothing that appears to rough to repair.
The underneath is not that bad from what I can see.
I included some pics so you could see the underneath.
The exhaust is in good shape and you can see that for yourself.
You are welcome to come see the car and run a magnet over it anywhere and everywhere you'd like.
I have no problem with that at all. The key switch needs to be replaced but it's there.
The dash pad will need to be replaced.
Some of the chrome is in good shape such as the bumpers in the front and back. They aren't perfect but they definitely aren't bad, they just need to be cleaned up. There is some chrome on the top windshield that's pitted and the trunk chrome is pitted.
The chrome around the windows is ok. The car comes with the hubcaps obviously and I also have the fender skirts for the car as well. They have a some rust on the back and will need to have the latches freed up before
you can put them on.
The glass is good all the way around the car with the except of the passenger quarter window. It's got a small crack in it but serviceable until you get a replacement cut.
There is a dent on the driver side door. It is not creased and you should be able to pull it out. I show that in one picture on the drivers side.
The car doesn't currently run but it does turn over, in other words it's not seized. The engine is not the original 430.
It's a 390 Super Marauder with an Autolite 4100 four barrel carburetor out of a Park Lane. You can see that on the gold valve covers. The car has sat for the last 10 years and was last registered 10 years ago. The car has a little over 74000 miles on the odometer.
I have the odometer statement paperwork that the dealer turns into the DMV when they sell a car. According to it when it purchased used in 1987 that indicates 71,355 miles. I think the miles are original but that's all the proof I have to offer based on the paperwork
and my conversations with the previous owner.
This car has power windows, power seats, power steering and power drum brakes.
It does have AC with the original AC register in the front of the car.
The AC also runs cool air through the door to back seat as well.
The back seats have cigarette lighters built into the doors as well.
It's actually pretty impressive all the options considering this car was made in 1960. They made about 24000 Lincolns that year and about 4300 where the Premiere 4 door hardtop model.
The windows do work, the seats motor I can hear turn but I think the seat tracks are rusty so the seat doesn't move.
The interior will have be replaced just because it's pretty dried out. It's all there though including the sunvisors, headliner and radio.
If you have questions you can call me at 703-855-5439 or email me at davidamack2005@yahoo.com. I have more pics if you want to see them.
I encourage you to come see the car if you are able to. I have done my best to be as descriptive as possible but nothing beats seeing it in person.
If you want to have the car shipped, you will have to make the arrangements and pay for that yourself. I will certainly help you in any way I can with that.
