Hello. New here. Just purchased a 2003 LS V8 and we love it. That said, I want to investigate anything that might be wrong with it, because the dealer offered a full 30-day warranty (I also purchased a three year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty).

Some of the things that I find "wrong" could simply be operator error. One is the Navigation system.

Sometimes when I am driving to or from work (not using the navigation at all) and I have the screen in AUDIO mode, I get a "Please refer to the map" alert when I use the steering wheel volume DOWN button.

Why? I searched the owners manual but it revealed nothing. At this point I assume that I'm doing something wrong and not that the car is broken.

David

P.S. In searching this forum I already learnead that a sagging headliner is a common problem and that there is a TSB to fix it. I looked and this car does have the saggy liner. So you've helped me already.

Hi David and welcome,

I am not sure how to help you with your specific questions, but do hope you find the answer! Enjoy the car!

I own a 2000 LS and in my car with 100K Km on it the sway bar rubber bushings need replaceing. If you notice a clunk from the front or rear suspension at low speeds - check the bushings in the sway bar. Enjoy the car

I think I figured it out. I think I was squeezing the REPEAT button with my thumb when I was pressing the VOLUME DOWN button with my finger. It hasn't said a thing since I've been more careful with my finger placement.
