I too am also anxious to see what kind of times he will run once the n2o is setup....

Nitrous is gooood. Make sure your tuner takes some timing out. Detonation results in melted motor. wink.gif

Our 2000 LS had a special tune from Jerry W. himself, VP of SCT and he squeezed out 263 RWHP on the dyno after an elaborate A/F tune. The car however, bone stock other than the flash, and on pump gas never ran faster than 15.4 in the 1320.

I run an 80 shot with 114 race fuel and do quite well with timing backed out in my 4400 lb. tank. I also run with Mickey Thompson E/T streets.

The LS should do quite nice with a 100 shot, custom tune for Nitrous, and race fuel. Tires will then become a very rude reallity that will need to be addressed.

Good luck, I look forward to seeing your numbers. wink.gif

So far all I could get my 05 LS8 to muster is a 13.8 in the 1/4 mile. Still fairly good and all but not where I want it yet. I really got to learn how to drive this thing again! Once I reprogram the progressive controller and get a little more seat time it should drop down to a low 13 E.T. in the summer heat. Should hit a high 12 later this fall when the air is colder and denser.

Man, I guess this place is dead. The "Hot Rod Lincoln" way of life is no more; too many people concentrating on crap like lambo doors and 22" rims. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

I love race stories, 1320 ets's, and 60' ft's. Sorry I dont have any stories or times for my 08 Navigator, though I'm thinking it just might muster up a high 15 or low 16 et. Anyone ever ran their stock Nav at the track? What numbers are they putting down? My other ride, I know its a Chevy, is running 14.1 with a 60ft of 2.01 and 95mph through the traps. Hoping to drop in the 13's this summer....

I'm running 15.2 at 89mph with my 99 conti. Since that, I switched to synthetic, changed all fluids, and rotated tires for this upcoming racing season. I'm going to be bracket racing at a track in upstate ny. I hoping to be able to dial in with 15.0 or a 14.9 now that everything is nice and fresh.

I pulled a 16.22 @ 83mph in my 97 Lincoln Town Car, then went and threw a zex wet nitrous kit on and with just a 50 shot I got her to do 15.0 @ 92mph, I was really pleased with this 4200lb boat until about a month or two later I blew up my tranny lol. Since the tranny rebuild I have not gone back to the track to see what my N/A time is and if it changed from the 16.2 cause it definitely feels slower.

Went in the new (to us) MKT last Friday. Managed to get 6 passes in before the racecars mucked up the line by dumping trans fluid and coolant all over.
The first pass:
2.245
6.125
9.385@75.90
12.165
14.519@95.84
DA:-168 ft

2nd pass:
2.198
6.079
9.345@75.84
12.128
14.481@95.95
DA:-31 ft

3rd pass(best pass):
2.185
6.045
9.297@76.26
12.072
14.418@96.27
DA:-93 ft

4th pass:
2.260
6.144
9.404@76.09
12.185
14.537@96.01
DA:+360 ft

5th pass:
2.211
6.106
9.373@75.76
12.157
14.513@95.76
DA:+63 ft

6th pass:
2.223
6.120
9.392@75.77
12.182
14.538@95.80
DA:-78 ft

DA was all over the place since the temp was going up and down by a few degrees. It spun the tires on the last pass a bit and the traction control kicked in enough that I felt it lay over right off launch. The 1st 4 passes were back to back to back. The 5th pass was after about a 30 minute cooldown while I had some concession stand dinner, and the last pass was after a 15-20 minute cooldown sitting in the lanes.

I remember when the LS came out Lincoln did a promo around the country and you could test them against the Mercedes, BMW and I think Audi. They had the DFW event at the Texas Motor Speedway. During the intro they told us to run them as hard as we wanted just don't hit the person who had to put the cones back up. Can't remember what my time was for the 1/4 mile. And yes I did misjudge and plowed down a bunch of cones in one of my turns. Lincoln needs to do something like that again when the new designs come out in the next couple years. Didn't buy one but was impressed with the LS.
