The a/c was ice cold until one day it wasn't. I hooked up guages to the a/c and they looked fine. I heard a clicking in the dash. It was an actuator I found behind the ashtray. I think it is probably the blend door actuator and seemed to be having trouble moving the lever it attaches to. I have attached a spring to the lever to keep it in the position the actuator was trying to put it in. The air blows cool now but not as cold as it was. I did notice that the ducts under the dash were hot like the heater was on.
Is there another valve, door or actuator I should look for and check? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi cool
A clicking of the blend door actuator means that it is kaput. Putting a spring on it to force it one direction or another surely will seal it's fate if it wasn't already deatroyed.

I think it was shot already. There was a piece of what looked like a plastic lever that was broken off in the shield covering it. I'll get a new actuator and see if that does the trick. Thanks for the reply.
