My wife is so frustrated with the Mysync system she wants to get rid of the car. I told her to use sync services when the system can't find an address or even the city to our north. The mysync also has trouble understanding her (she has no accent). The system also decided to update on her while she was driving on Rt 95 and asked her if she wanted to continue with the update. It did not give her the option to say no so why ask? She was driving and could not be distracted to answer on screen questions so she had no XM music until she pulled off of the hyw. This, needless to say is dangerous as well as extreamly annoying. I have updated the system to the latest updates hoping to make the system better but it did not help with the maps. I did have the Mysync system shut down 2 weeks after we purchased it and it would not restart until I pulled the fuze and reinserted it. This has not recurred since. Ford needs to do much better then this system if it wants me to purchase my next vehicle from them. The rest of the vehicle is very nice but I wanted a luxury vehicle with state of the art electronics. The Navigation System maps are awfull. Most of the time it can not find an entered address or a local business. It is a shame Ford did so well on the rest of our MKX.

Your experience is typical. Mine does all that too. One of my favorite My touch issues is when it tells you that the house number is not in the valid range. The updating thing is not really updating. It means the system crashed and is rebooting.

Yes we got that "not in valid range" also. I hate that but Sync Servics is better and usually finds an address. My wife has given up and just uses mapquest. I told her she could send the map to the car via cell phone but she said what's the point. I'll just print it out. It's a shame because she loves the car but hates the Mysync system and said we should have just kept her Santa Fe. It was a lot less frustrating.

One thing that doesnt suck..... if you google map the place you want to go and click on the the location flag, click more, click send you can send the location to your car. once in the car connect to sync services and the location will be sent to the car and you can NAV there without having to fight the Myf'dupTouch.
