Just bought a 2010 with about 20,000 miles on it. Love the car and how it drives. My one complaint is I feel a vibration in the gas pedal at times when accelerating. Brought it back to the dealer who checked it out and said everything is fine. I saw there was a TSB on this back in 08 but haven't heard any complaints on the 10. My previous car was an Accord so I think I just need to get use to how the car drives., but was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar situation.

Hi jagger and welcome,
I am assuming that you have a 2008 MKZ? You did not mention it in your post.

Its a 2010. Car drives great. I just tend to feel more road vibration through the pedal than I'm use to and was wondering if this a normal characteristic of the car.

I have a '10 AWD, and I have not noticed this. Mine has 16k.

Hi Jagger - Not to quibble but I would guess that the vibration you're feeling throught the gas pedal is coming from the engine, not from the road. I have a 2011 MKZ with the V6 and I have no problem with vibration through the gas pedal. Is yours by any chance a hybrid - was that available for the 2010 model year? - in which case the four-cylinder engine might be expected to transmit a bit more vibration than the V6. Was your Accord a four or six?

Steering wheel vibration would typically be a tire issue. Gas pedal? Who knows?
Since you bought it used, does it have any aftermarket parts on it (suspension, engine bay, etc.)? The reason I ask, Steeda has a solid motor mount (which would only be visible underneath -- with all your shields removed). It would/could cause vibrations.

Thanks for the replies. Had a couple of friends who drive Ford's take mine for a ride. They said car is perfect and feels like a typical Ford. They both felt no vibration. That was good enough for me.

You're just not used to that kind of torque
