Just put in an order to the factory thru the local dealer. Build date is March 5th with delivery anticipated in the first week of April. Before I make big purchases I like to read the forums to help with the pros and cons etc. This forum does not get a lot of action but not surprising since I just read that only a total of 8,000 MKTs were delivered last year. Still, good stuff here and hopefully there will be future growth.

My new MKT will be Ruby Red, black interior, with both available packages plus the towing. And, of course, the EcoBoost 3.5 version. Sure could have had a good deal on a new 2011 the dealer still had, but I have been one who never liked the front end. The new grill and hood changes make a big difference for me. Plus, the new Drive Control package is a great feature.

Anyone else looking at the 2013?

Congrats! Please post pics when you take delivery. And a review of Drive Control.

PS: I like my 'old' grill.

Well, the grill has oft been described as "polarizing" either love it or NOT. Actually, it was starting to grow on me (I am something of a chrome fan). The final judgement, however, was rendered by the spousal unit who was not warming up to the old style.

Will post some pics. I am very curious to see how the drive control system changes the ride and handling. I test drove both a 2011 and 2012, but that limited experience may not enable me to compare very well. I was very impressed with how they drove so figured if the 2013 was at least as good, I couldn't lose! The AWD chassis, suspension, etc. is an outstanding set up!

Congrats from a fellow Washingtonian! Your gonna a love your new MKT with Ecoboost!

Not only is it an amazing engine, transmission combo but it accelerates and handles like a rocket on rails. I just returned yesterday from a vacation down the Oregon coast and that MKT handled highway 101's lofty cliff hugging curves and switchbacks like a dream. It's really amazingly buttoned down and tight. I found it inspired confidence at every curve. You could turn in hard and accellerate out of a curve and the MKT responded like a well mannered performance car. And when it came time to pass a loaded lumber truck on those narrow two lane roads in Oregon. Well hang on to your hat. The MKT's like tornado with tires! The power curve in the upper range can be too enticing . . . gotta keep an eye out for those pesky State Troopers!

And not to mention that cabin . . . on a long trip it's so comfortable, quiet, and luxurious . . . with every ammenity and piece of information required or desired a voice command away . . . it makes me wanna just keep driving.

One more bonus . . . in the 6 months I've owned my MKT . . . I've not seen another one . . . in all of Seattle! Nor on the road in Oregon and California. All my friends say the same. They've never seen one! The best kept secret in the NorthWest!

I like toys going into the 2013 MKt. I love my 2010 grille and the fact that I've seen 3 in my area since owning mine means there is still some exclusivity. I'll wait and see, if the toys are worth the purchase and my 2010 grille is a direct swap :D I'll get one, but I won't order it. I'll search out Cinnamon Metallic and the equipment I want and probably save 10K. Love my MKt

Well, as you can imagine, I sure haven't seen one on the road over on this side of the state. The first dealer I went to did not have even one to show. By the way, very nice photos. Lookin' good!

No Cinnamon available for the 2013. The change in the front end involves more than just the grill. The hood slopes more and some other changes around the grill. I think the cinnamon would have been my choice and was disappointed that it wasn't available.

Hi folks- my first post - i will be buying the 13 as well and I found that the spread in prices between the 11 and the 13 is only $7000
I would like to hear what you paid for your 13 mkt
My deal is Eco awd elite and tech packages in champagne with the "Power opening roof" $49200
Please comment accordingly from apple fordlincoln in md

They say they are many improvements on the 13
We really look forward and really think we should switch to the quarts grey

Also the removed the stone color interior and we are getting the new DUNE
We love the exclusivity of the mkt and really after having infinity - Lexus- and the ml350 we really loved our 2005 ford freestyle and are so happy we went to the Lincoln and ford dealer to look at the the explorer - but so the saving grace- this is a car for my ather and he is coming out of a Volvo xc90 - he is 83 and I am sorry to say the new mkt is awfully techie for them But I am optimistic
Joe cat - keep going mkt club

Can I be your daddy too?

The MKt is big and heavy, but, especially with the EcoBoost, scoots with the best! Techie--yes. Not so sure your 83yo dad won't be overwhelmed. At 66 but techie, even I was, but love mine.

Why, why, why Lincoln doesn't promote this crossover, I have no idea. They prefer pushing the smaller & uglier MKX.

That being said, good prices can be had due to poor sales figures. I got the 1st '11 MKt at my dealer for what I believe a terrific price. With all they've added to the '13's, It will be perfect.
